I am a Montana user, and I just read an entry from someone who said they cannot make calls to anywhere in the state of Montana. Imagine how frustrated WE are as Montana residents, only being able to make calls to 60 percent of the numbers?! It's really sad. Also, the prefixes (exchanges) are foreign to people so they don't answer. The closest I could get to "Missoula" was a "Trout Creek" number - which is nowhere near. Larger city prefixes, such as for Bozeman and Billings, were all that existed a year ago. Dunno if that's changed. Just thought I'd let the person frustrated with that know that I can't dial them either... Though I do have a solution for us and it may be for you. Go to www.toktumi.com (I think it's called "Line 2" now, not sure). For like $14/ month, I can dial everywhere in the country, Canada, and some international for .01 cents per minute (UK being one, since my husband is British).... We connect by dialing an 888 number that we chose. I think you can choose normal numbers too (which I wish we had). Then you can have it all transferred to cell phone, email, set up answering stations, etc. Pretty cool and I don't even use all of it - I just use it to address the calls I cannot make. Sadly, when people see the 888 of my number they think it's a solicitor and don't answer. People who know us by now know that it's us though..... It's also great because if you don't want to give out your home number, this number will never ring aloud in your home - just send you an email to your email address (like Magic Jack) and you don't have to deal with anyone you don't want to. I use them in tandem.
