I am a newbie to the world of HP Compaq Thin Client, I do have a background of building and modding desktops. I became interested in the HP TC for using it as a mj platform. I also want to use it for travel use to check emails and use the mj. I want to do a full win XP install I need the advice of more seasoned TC users on a question of an 8Gb CF Microdrive VERSES a 32 GB CompactFlash card read speed of 90 MB/s and a write speed of 50-60 MB/s. Even though I would be limited to a quarter of the drive space would the micro drive be a better fit as far as not having the limited number of read writes a regular CF card has or are the CF cards nowadays beyond that issue. These would go into a CF Compact Flash to IDE 44 pin 2.5" HDD Adapter connected via a 2" ribbon connector.I have a PCI EXPANSION MODULE KIT ordered and will be installing a 64MB Matrox Millennium Parhelia-LX P650 PCI LP P65-MDDAP64F Dual Head video card. I will also install either a 1GB or 2GB PC2700S-25330 DDR 333MHz CL2.5 RAM Memory ( Yes/No/Maybe more ram is better) Can the TC handle a 4GB Module ? ? ? ? and for travel use only a Mimo Monitor UM-720S Foldable Mini Touch Screen LCD Monitor Display resolution: 800 x 480 Any and all wisdom , input or even an you want to do what would be helpful ,,, if for no other reason as to help stop me from doing this
