This is just for info and may be unique to my setup. Previously I was using a tower pc running WXP to power my MJ which was connected to my whole house network wiring and then to a Panasonic KX-TG6502 cordless base station. CallerID worked ok using the 100k resistor trick. After switching to a TC5710 callerid no longer worked with or without the resistor. I got callerid working again by plugging the base station directly into the MJ. I suspect that the TC's usb ports are only marginally adequate to supply power to the MJ and that a powered usb hub may be the way to go to work with the house wiring. I didn't have a powered hub to test the theory though and again this may just my setup. Just thought this might help someone shooting callerid trouble.

jrd4849, I just want to follow along on this one. I was under the impression that the 100 K ohm trick always worked. I am very surprised that it didn't work on the T5710 which has a much better USB port arrangement then the T5700. I was using a Panasonic 5.8 and switched to the Panasonic DECT 6 and now have the infamous no caller ID problem also. I have not yet tried the 100 K ohm trick, but just as soon as I can get to Radio Shack I will and let you know how it works for me. Regards and tanks for the tip - probably keep some one from going over the edge. Addendum; I didn't have to do any thing fancy on my new DECT 6 phone to get the Caller ID to work. I just broke open a phone coupler added the 100 K Ohm resister plugged it into my base station via a 2 foot phone cord and then out of the coupler into my MJ on the other side of the room thru a 25 foot phone cord and all is working fine once again. "Go Figure"
